Founder, EZ Writing
“I can’t believe they pay me to do this.”
That was what I told my husband when I first started teaching. It was love at first lesson plan, but it was not an easy road to get there. My parents had instilled a strong work ethic in all four of their children, and I was no exception. I spent my days working odd jobs and my nights in class, all while raising three wonderful children. But failure was never an option for me.
When I started teaching, I never looked back. It quickly became a part of who I am. I was constantly adjusting and improving my lesson plans, never teaching the exact same thing twice. I learned a lot during those early years, as anyone does when they embark on a new calling, but I was confident I was exactly where God wanted me to be.
Over thirty years later, I find myself retired. I love to spend time with my six wonderful grandchildren, but something about teaching always calls me back. When I teach, I know I am using my God-given gifts to love and help others.
This is where EZ Writing comes in to play.
I’m saddened by the pressures put upon teachers today. So much is demanded of them that many are leaving the profession. Those who remain have little time left for creativity and enjoyment in the classroom. Writing skills take time to develop, time unfortunately most teachers can’t afford. I want to continue to invest in children’s education through improving their writing skills.
I believe good writing is more than proper grammar. It is about translating thoughts into words in a style that flows easily and engages the reader. I look forward to passing along my years of writing experience to your children. My hope is that every child would learn to love the art of writing.
